But a year is a decent commitment, and plenty of folks want to see how we work before they sign up. If you start Sightline within 30 days of your Scout delivery, we'll credit the full amount to your first months.

Do I have to start with Scout?
Nope. Every Sightline starts with a Scout, because we can't clean up what we haven't found. But if you'd rather look first or get a taste of what it's like to work with us, you can book a Scout on its own. If you start Sightline within 30 days of your Scout delivery walkthrough, we'll credit your Scout payment towards Sightline.
Isn't this just a monitoring service?
Monitoring's part of it, but on its own it isn't worth much. Automated alerts are cheap and there are plenty of them. What they can't do is tell you what an alert means for you, or do anything about it.
Sightline is the doing-something part. The cleanup, the security work, the playbooks, and people who know your file.
How does support work?
Any time you've got a question, ask. A real human on our team will read it and respond. Plus on-demand live calls with an expert on our team: one a quarter on Sightline Solo, one a month on Sightline Team. They're not on a schedule, so you book them when something important comes up.
It isn't an emergency line, though. When you're dealing with an active threat, your local law enforcement is usually the best resource. You'll have a playbook that was custom built for you for that specific situation, so you'll know what to do and who to call. We advise and support from there, but we're not law enforcement, so there's only so much we can do.
What's the difference between Sightline Solo and Sightline Team?
Sightline Solo is built for a creator whose business is mostly them. Sightline Team is for creators with... well, a team. It adds more support, coordination with your team, onboarding and offboarding playbooks and procedures, and is designed for creators who aren't just working solo.
How does billing work?
We'll charge you monthly for your service, and there's a 12 month commitment to sign up for Sightline. That's because a lot of this work takes quite a while, so it's not something that can be done in a month or a quarter.
What don't you handle?
We're not lawyers and we're not the police. When something needs either, we help you document it properly and get it to the right people, and we keep handling the rest.
Is this confidential?
Yep. Nothing is shared without your explicit permission. We work in end-to-end encrypted tools wherever possible, and vet the tools we use (or build) extensively to make sure they're not selling or sharing anything we're putting in their systems either.
